I was appointed in June 2022 to complete the term of Winston Pingrey who resigned from his seat effective June 2022. I met Winston at a Silva Valley Elementary School PTA meeting in the early years of my children attending school. It is an honor to be filling his vacated seat.
My children attended Silva Valley Elementary and Rolling Hills Middle Schools from kindergarten through eighth grade. They received an outstanding education that prepared them for high school and beyond.
As a parent, here are a few notable events that I had a front-row seat to the District navigating:
The constant during these changes was an unwavering commitment to providing a high-quality education to all students. The success of our District during this time period is reflected in numerous state and national awards as well as the ability of the District to attract and retain highly qualified teachers and staff.
My time as a parent in the District has recently concluded. My desire to contribute to the District continues!
I am seeking election as a trustee of the Buckeye Union School District having been appointed to the Board when a vacancy occurred. I hold a master's degree in accounting and worked as a certified public accountant. I possess financial audit, management, and volunteer experience.
My family moved to the community fourteen years ago after researching school districts and experiencing the natural beauty of El Dorado County. My children attended elementary and middle school in the Buckeye Union School District. Having served in numerous leadership positions within elementary and middle school parent teacher associations, I deeply appreciate the collaborative spirit of the Buckeye Union School District. Participating in District level committees broadened my knowledge of the District and inspires me to serve our community as a board member. I am passionate about quality education that recognizes the diverse educational needs of children.
As a board member, I will preserve the fiscal integrity of the District and will be responsive to the values, beliefs, and priorities of our community. I am eager to continue serving the community as a trustee of the Buckeye Union School District.
Six candidates are running for three board member positions on the Buckeye Union School District. The candidates with the top 3 votes will serve a 4-year term. I encourage you to vote for local school district incumbent candidates.
